About Skyshade
Skyshade has its roots in Design & Build operations of large skylight domes for building atriums and Solar thermal technologies. The entire body of knowledge and specialization on steel structures, shading solutions, use of natural light, seeing Daylighting as a dimension of renewable energy, understanding building physics and role of architects and engineers in making better buildings built over a period of time in its journey is on this core knowledge.
With background in skylights, in the year 2005, Skyshade started design of Tensile membrane structures. Mrs. Anantha nori, a certified Archineer from Germany joined the company. Today, skyshade is one of the very few companies in India which has such integrated manufacturing infrastructure for all components that goes into making a good Tensile structure and a large foot print of executed projects.
2008 – 09 : skyshade started exclusive Daylight division with introduction of Lightpipe – daylighting system. Since then more daylighting products like Norikool , prismatic double glazed skylights, Anshu and Day360 lighting controls and Hybrid daylighting system etc. were developed and manufactured in house .
2012 – Skyshade started Research and development facility . The R&D center develops new daylighting systems and lighting controls for daylighting and shading technologies. Host of patents filed because of this dedicated focus.
